Vancouver, B.C., July 23, 2001 - The RSC
Group (RSC) announces a new contract with the Commonwealth
of Learning (COL) to install RSC's proprietary Web site management
software at COL's Vancouver headquarters. RSC will assist
COL in developing an open and distance education research
Web site where instructors and educators in Commonwealth countries
can upload, view, search and download documents.
The technology developed by The RSC Group, called My Enterprise
On-Line, creates a central and searchable database of documents
that can be maintained and updated by each region remotely
via the Internet. Currently, the COL has experienced challenges
in sharing information due to lack of technology in some countries
and the high costs involved to update Web site content. With
My Enterprise On-Line, educators throughout the 54 Commonwealth
countries will be able to publish and organize content in
a number of languages. Minimal technical knowledge is required
to maintain the web site.
