Chocolate
On a typical day, Totally Chocolate Inc. manufactures
and ships more than 10,000 lbs. of chocolate to cities
throughout the U.S. – filling the equivalent of
three semi-trailer trucks with its specialty chocolate
items. A chocoholic’s dream, but for Totally Chocolate
the challenge is ensuring operations run smoothly as
the volume of orders grow and grow.
The Blaine, Washington, company turned to The RSC
Group to streamline and maximize financial information
using the full suite of Great Plains Dynamics software.
The RSC Group also implemented light manufacturing with
Totally Chocolate using a hybrid solution combining
Horizons light manufacturing for Great Plains with custom
SQL queries, Crystal Reports and web functionality.
Together, this innovative combination effectively handles
materials requisition and production scheduling. Prior
to this, the chocolate maker couldn’t produce
real time, online manufacturing schedules and reports.
