Navision uses SIFT (Sum Index Flow Technology) to ensure
that the system is fast regardless of how much data
you have. This technology (available to Microsoft customers
only) renders purging processes and history tables obsolete.
In addition, Navision uses a “Versioning”
technique which guarantees that your system will never
go out of balance. By taking snapshots of your system
before posting, Navision will naturally revert back
to its pre-posting state should a crash occur. Almost
all other systems will require you to go through a lengthy
batch recovery process, which often leads to support
calls and inherent downtime.
Navision offers each of its users a unique experience
by incorporating personal preferences (a ZUP File) into
the system as part of its core functionality. Each user
has some flexibility to configure the information to
be displayed in a way that is meaningful to them.
